Morocco gears for major Referendum?

The Kingdom of Morocco is among few North African Muslim nations to have been spared the ongoing civil unrest in the region, but outright rejection of constitutional proposals by the youthful majority poses great challenges to the future of the Mediterranean country.

Rolling The Dice Effect Theory

The Tunisian Intifada is a true mass uprising that stunned the world with its short span and fast consequences, that need to be thought about and study. I am not of the opinion of the so-called Domino  Effect that will follow, but i came up with my own theory that i see it might come through, based on the   events taken place in the last few days since the Tunisian Intifada.

The Crumbling of Arab Patriarchy

The Tunisia and Egypt Revolutions are clearly a youth revolts against tyranny, seeking freedom from want, freedom from fear, and freedom from patriarchy. The essence of this revolt i believe is to eliminate patriarchy as an Arab political, social, and religious system. Arab Youth has come to realize and understand that Patriarchy is what needs to be changed in Arab societies in order to achieve freedom and reform for a new Arab World.

Jordan: Reform, NOT Constitutional Monarchy

Debate has been raging among Jordanians of pros and cons of Constitutional Monarchy as part of reform. However, the issue that should be addressed first is how we can arrive at this reform, assuming we do have the necessary requirements for it. Reform, in all its forms, political, social, economical, and intellectual, must have a full societal awareness in order to achieve it and make it permanent. Only those whom reform is against their interest will oppose it and fight it, because it threatens their power, influence, and corrupted gains.
