This agreement was written in English. To the extent that any translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version will be considered the official version. These terms and conditions for use of the 1001 Stories of Common Ground site, as administered by Search for Common Ground, may be changed in the future without notice. Any change will be noted on the website. You are solely responsible for your conduct and your content, and any consequences of your conduct and your content, on the 1001 Stories of Common Ground network. You are also solely responsible for compliance with these terms.

By registering with us or using or browsing this network, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. As a member of the 1001 Stories of Common Ground network you may submit content, including videos, photos, articles and comments. The administrators of this site do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any content you submit.
2. You must be over 18 years of age to post any content to this network.
3. You affirm that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish content you submit, and agree that content you submit to the network will not contain third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights, unless you have permission from the rightful owner of the material or you are otherwise legally entitled to post the material and to grant the license rights to Search for Common Ground.
4. You understand that no videos are hosted on this site and SFCG does not control video content.
5. You retain all of your ownership rights to your content. However, by submitting content to this site, you hereby grant worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free rights to Search for Common Ground to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of and/or display the content in any media formats and through any media channels.
6. You also hereby grant each user of the Service a non-exclusive license to access your content through the network, and to use, reproduce, distribute and display such content as permitted through the functionality of the network and under these terms of use.
7. Search for Common Ground does not endorse any content submitted to the network by any user, or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed therein, and expressly disclaims any and all liability in connection with content or its use.

This site is meant to highlight constructive, cooperative examples of social change in Arab countries and only content of this nature may be posted.

You agree not to post anything not in accordance with this aim and understand that any such post would be removed immediately.

This includes (but is not limited to) the following:

• pornography or sexually explicit content
• graphic or gratuitous images of violence, accidents, dead bodies, etc
• hate speech which attacks or demeans any group without exception
• abuse of people or animals
• content you did not make, or that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music, articles, images, parts of copyrighted programmes, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations
• content that is misleading, deceptive or fraudulent, illegal or promotes illegal activities
• content that is threatening, abusive, violent, harassing, malicious or harmful to any person or entity, or invasive of another's privacy
• content that is harmful to minors in any way
• content that includes personal or identifying information about another person without you obtaining that person's explicit written consent
• content that promotes commercial products or interests or solicitations for funds
• content that contains viruses or other malicious code
• proselytizing and/or evangelizing

Any predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invasion of privacy, or the revealing of other members' personal information will not be tolerated. 

Violations:

Violations of the Terms of Use may result in a warning notification or termination of your account. If your account is terminated you are prohibited from creating any new accounts.

Search for Common Ground reserves the right to review any content posted to the network, or in the case of video content prior to it being posted on the network, for conformance with the terms of use and will investigate any notifications of abuse of these terms.  Should you notice that your content is no longer on the site, it is likely it was found to have violated one or more of these terms and intentionally removed. If you find other content you feel has violated the terms in a similar way, please let us know so we can review it as well. You may communicate with website administrators at 1001@sfcg.org.
