The death rate caused by tribal clashes in the southern Tunisian mining town of Metlaoui rose to 20 and at least 200 people have been injured. The deadly Metlaoui clashes began in mid-March over rumors that the Gafsa Phosphate Company was secretly recruiting mine workers from a specific tribe instead of opening up jobs to the local population. To express solidarity, the Tunisian League for Tolerance organized a Tolerance caravan to Metlaoui with the participation of citizens from all regions of Tunisia including children , teenagers, women and men to stand actively against all these forms of violence and to urge people to overcome all the differences and to avoid being misled by those who seek to harm the Tunisian revolution by sowing discord.
