Morocco hosts third African Carbon Credit Forum

The third Africa Carbon Forum is set to take place at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakesh, Morocco, on July-4–6, 2011, featuring trade fair and  knowledge sharing platform for Carbon Investment in Africa.

Designed to spur investment in emission reduction projects and help countries capitalize on the development benefits of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol, the froum  which marks the 10th anniversary of the Marrakesh Accords – the adoption of the rules that govern the CDM .

I was born illegitimate, out of love at one side and a one night stand at another.. and in a country where rights belong only to men, my mother couldn’t give me a name, so, on my ID they wrote  in Arabic , ‘’ lakit”, which means bastard.

It was a hot summer night when I and my friends went out to the wedding party of one of my friends' sisters. As usual, we, the six girls, went together to the hall where about 1,000 ladies stood on their feet since the hall's capacity was only 500.

A National Campaign has been launched during the International Women day in Lebanon on March 8 2011, under the premises of  the first lady of Lebanon and the President of the National Commission of  Lebanese Women, Ms Wafa’ Sleiman. The Campaign aims to fulfill equality between women and men in the Lebanese laws, especially the laws that have an economical impact on women;
